The Laws of Thermodynamics
  1. Energy can be neither created nor destroyed.
  2. It is impossible to create a heat engine that, operating in a cycle, produces no effect other than the absorption of energy from a reservoir and the performance of an equal amount of work.
The zeroth law:
If objects A and B are separately in thermal equilibrium with a third object C, then objects A and B are in thermal equilibrium with each other.
